This book is horrible to learn from. If your instructor isn't great, it's going to be very difficult to get a good understanding of the concepts by reading these pages. There are lots of concepts which are simply not mentioned and you are expected to do problems without knowing how to piece together difficult problems. Many of the answers are wrong, or unexplained. The questions can be incredibly difficult without any examples similar to the one you are trying to solve. I'd recommend watching some open courseware videos on the net and not trying to understand this book. If you need to do required problems from the back for homework, buddy up and look at your friend's book. I'm only purchasing this as a used copy so that I can write in it and, hopefully use it to help the next semester's poor souls at my school.....
